Edward joined City Law from a litigation firm based in the City, where he specialised in commercial litigation claims and obtained experience in claims ranging from breach of directors’ duties, misrepresentation, fraud and a claim involving the breach of duty by a Trustee of a large charity. Edward also obtained injunctions from former employees using company information and poaching former clients. He has also appeared in the High Court in relation to applications for summary judgment and setting aside default judgment.
Edward spent almost two years at a leading offshore law firm, Mourant-Ozannes. This has given Edward a wealth of experience in advising on offshore litigation and trusts. Edward also has experience in obtaining and monitoring worldwide freezing orders (“Mareva Injunctions”), where assets were located in various jurisdictions worldwide.
Edward obtained a first class degree at the University of Exeter and obtained his Masters in Law at Bristol University. Edward went on to train as a barrister before being admitted as a solicitor in 2008. He has worked for some of the magic and silver circle law firms in the City, including Ashurst and Allen & Overy, as well as almost a year on secondment at Morgan Stanley.
