Leeds is an urban area situated in West Yorkshire. This city has over 750,000 inhabitants ranking 3rd largest city in the UK. Leeds history can be dated to early in the 5th century and the city name denotes a wooded vicinity of the Elmet Kingdom.

Leeds was a market town in the middle ages. The city became a main hub for the production and barter of wool during the 17th and 18th centuries. By the mid-20th century, the urban area developed and encompassed the neighbouring communities to turn into a crowded metropolitan area in the Aire River valley. The city is now diverse and has about 75 ethnic groups which account for more than 10% of the population of which the Asian grouping is the largest.
